Function Description   Technical Characteristics

The Model 7923A is a 10-channel sinewave distribution amplifier that operates from 1 MHz through 10 MHz. The unit is designed to meet stringent satellite ground station requirements and offer low phase and amplitude noise bursts with isolation in excess of 100 dB. Various mechanical configurations and connector types are available including 19" rack mounting. The height is 1.75 inches. The unit can operate from a 115VAC line or +15VDC.

The FE-7923A operates with a sinusoidal input signal at a level of +13.0 dBm ± 2 dB into 50 ohms. The VSWR of the input port of the item does not exceed 1.5:1, referenced to 50 ohms. The amplifier is linear allowing unity gain operation at lower levels.

Circuitry is designed to minimize vibration induced phase noise and high isolation cascode amplifiers ensure that oputput phase shifts are less that 0.001¡ when adjacent outputs are opened or terminated.

As an option, narrowband ovenized input crystal filters in the FE-7923A suppress line related spurious signals and reduce phase noise at frequencies greater than 35Hz from the carrier. Ê
